There are several things to consider when choosing a recycling container, and one of them is size.

Winnipeg, Manitoba hopes that the availability of a larger recycling container will help people keep putting recyclable material where it belongs, and thereby improve the recycling rate. The city plans to move from a 60-litre blue box to a 240-litre, wheeled recycling container. The move, as part of a more comprehensive solid waste management plan, is anticipated to divert an extra 25,000 tonnes of material per year to Winnipeg's contracted Emterra recycling facility.
