Belgian recycler Containers Maes has announced that it will take possession of the first international delivery of ZenRobotics Recycler(TM), billed as the world's first robotic recycling system. To be installed in the last quarter of 2012, the complete value of the order exceeds EUR 1 million.
ZenRobotics Recycler system enables the sorting of wood, stone, and metal fractions from incoming construction and demolition waste materials. The system consists of a powerful conveyor belt feeding system, a specialized sensors package, the robotic picking cell, the recovered fractions container bays, and ZenRobotics Brain, the artificial intelligence- powered control system. The system will be solar powered.
